Suitable for 4th to 6th Grade with increasing difficulty.

Multiplication skills from 2 digits x 1 digit, 3 digits x 1 digit, 4 digits x 2 digits.

This activity is super quick to prepare. Print the whole collection of cards for students to progress through or give one problem a day.

These problems may take some students quite a long time to solve as students try different strategies.

Encourage students to try:

· Guess and Check

· Elimination

· Show working

· Follow a pattern

· Use known multiplication facts

· Find all possible solutions.

Students may check their calculations with a calculator. If correct, check their answer with the Answer Card.

There may be more than one answer for some questions. Challenge students to get the same answer as the Answer Card (100 points) and for every different response that is correct (50 points).
