Description

Are you interested in your students reading a beginning chapter book but don't have time to come up with all the comprehension questions and extension activities? I have done the work for you by assembling no-prep activities for two National Geographic Kids nonfiction books: Butterflies and Water. These printables can be used as independent work packets for differentiated instruction or in guided reading groups, book clubs, or literature circles. 4th grade reading level according to A.R. but I use them with younger students.

Includes:

  • comprehension questions
  • identifying and using text features
  • vocabulary matching
  • answer keys

Now a TpT Easel Activity! If you are not familiar, TpT has made a digital overlay that allows students to write or type on the pdf to help us during these trying distance learning times! You can adjust this as you see fit, but I already removed the answer keys and inserted text boxes to get you started.
