This is an adaptation of the CAFE menu for reading strategies. Each student would have their own copy of this menu to set and track their individual reading goals. During reading conferences, simply insert a date in the box next to the strategy the student is working on if they demonstrate that it successfully. Once the student successfully demonstrates a strategy three times, and three dates are recorded, they move on to a new strategy to practice as their goal.
