This FREE download includes a CAFE reading menu, nightly reading log with a section for reading goals, and a writing menu aligned with the Lucy Calkins Writing Workshop.
I create a student planner for each of my students and include this CAFE menu along with the reading log in the planner. When I conference with a student and we establish a reading goal from the CAFE menu, I write the student's goal on a file folder tab sticker and place it in the space for reading goal on the log. The student will work on that goal at home until we establish a new goal.
I place the writing menu inside their writing folders to refer to during writing workshop.
