Building Numeracy Math Mats are an original learning sequence created by Danielle Tisdale. Students use manipulatives to build numeracy skills from counting, one to one correspondence, comparing sets, using terms more and less, composing and decomposing numbers, building sets of five and ten, discovering combinations of five and ten, understanding place value in teen numbers, adding, and subtracting. This set of math mats contains 25 pages. Included in the set are 14 mats with directions on how to use them. These activities has been aligned with the kindergarten math common core standards.
