CCSS Language Arts 1st Grade Matrices for standards-based grading
Share

Description

Is your district using the Common Core State Standards? Are you drowning in paperwork trying to make sure each of your students has met each of the first grade standards? Has your district gone to a 4 point Standards-based grading scale? Do you have a reference sheet so you have easy access not only to your first grade CCSS, but those standards of second and kindergarten so that you can easily plan and differentiate for your students accordingly?
The following forms are intended for use in first grade classrooms where the CCSS are driving your curriculum in a 4 point grading system. The matrices are leveled as followed:
4 = the second grade CCSS; the student is performing above grade level
3 = the first grade CCSS; the student is performing at grade level
2 = the kindergarten CCSS; the student is performing below grade level
1 = the student is not meeting the kindergarten standard; the student is performing significantly below grade level

There are spaces to enter in 27 student names and the dates of assessment/standards performed at.
I hope you will find this as useful as I have in navigating and keeping track of the CCSS!

I'm glad you like this! It saved my sanity for report cards and getting kids into appropriate groupings.
