This set of Holiday Writing Activities is no-prep for teachers, fun and easy to use for students. It can be used during the Holiday season for Christmas, Chanukah (Hanukkah) and Kwanzaa. This BUNDLE includes ALL the grades from Preschool to 12.
Instructions:
TEACHERS: This set of letters can be used in a variety of ways this holiday season. Templates are included in this purchase that do not include the word “Christmas” and/or lined paper to make this product more adaptable to fit your needs. Colored pages as well as black and white are included. The basic instruction for your classroom is “write a letter” but the rest is up to you. This writing activity can be incorporated into Literature so the student is writing from a character’s viewpoint instead of their own.
Each “Santa letter” has a thought bubble so that your students (or yourself) may respond with what Santa thinks of the letter from the child. This makes the activity interactive as young students anticipate a response from Santa. For older students that are required to write their own Santa-response, this activity encourages higher-order thinking and self-reflection upon the requested gifts and/or content of the letter.
The “Wise Men” letter lends itself to a more spiritual-focused activity while the “Present-filled Sleigh” is tangible and fun.
