Description
This 26 slide PowerPoint is the equivalent of a webquest you might find online. It is complete with Internet links (currently working; cannot guarantee future use) as well as links within the presentation. It does not replace the value of in-class, hands-on experiments. However, it could replace or enhance textbook reading. It includes notes pages to websites and internal quizzes.
Throughout the webquest, students must solve the mystery of of who sabotaged Jazmin's lemonade stand. Along the way students learn about the states and properties of matter; the difference between and examples of solutions and mixtures; the difference between acids, bases, and neutrals and how to test for them; and the different types of fingerprints. Students use the information learned to determine the suspect in the case.
