-This product was created to align to the 95% Core Phonics Program.
-Use these word cards to practice valuable decoding skills based on the phonics skill that you are focusing on. This can be used in small group guided reading. I typically review the phonics skill and then flip over a card for each student. If they read it correctly, they keep the card, if they read it incorrectly, it goes back into the pile. After all of the cards are passed out, whoever has the most cards is the winner.
-Several other games can be played with these cards including word family sorts and matching/rhyming games. The possibilities are endless!
-Use these word cards to help provide intervention for those students that just need some extra practice with the particular phonics skill.
