In this animated Google Slide presentation, students have plenty of opportunities to practice decoding CVC words. The words are grouped into short medial a, medial e, medial i, medial o, and medial u words. Please click on Slideshow in the upper-right hand corner to access the animation.
1. Click to make the flower appear under the first letter. Students make the sound of the first letter.
2. Repeat with the 2nd and 3rd letters.
3. After clicking to make the flower appear under the 3rd letter, a butterfly will zoom from left to right. This is the cue for students to blend all three letter sounds together and read the word.
