Description

These high contrast task cards are designed for students with Cortical Visual Impairment (CVI), students in early intervention, and special education students. Research shows that students with CVI respond well to high contrast and bright colors. In addition, many students with special needs respond well to simple pages with minimal visual distractions. These task cards expose students to a variety of skills.

What's included?

-Letter Matching (2 fonts included)

*Uppercase to uppercase

*Uppercase to lowercase

*Lowercase to lowercase

-Shape Matching

-Beginning Letter Sound Match (2 fonts included)

-Identical Picture Match

1. Letter Matching

Two versions are included for students to work on uppercase and lowercase matching. The first version includes enlarged yellow font, while the second version included red bubbled font. Also, in the case that the white visual field (where students will place the matching letter) is too visually distracting, cards are available that allow students to just match the letter on top of the matching letter.

2. Shape Matching:

These task cards have a black background with a yellow shape and a red outline. Students must match the identical shape to each task card.

3. Beginning Letter Sound Match

These task cards have a black background with an item in a bright color. Items for all 26 letters are included. Students must match the beginning letter sound to the task card. The matching corresponding letters are available in two fonts, like the letter matching cards.

4. Identical Picture Match

These task cards have simple images with a black background. Students must match the identical image to each task card.

5. Color Matching

These task cards have a black background with a white area to match the identical color square. Also, in the case that the white visual field (where students will place the matching color) is too visually distracting, cards are available that allow students to just match the color on top of the matching color.
