Students will learn about calculating simple interest which is common on auto loans or short-term personal loans and for consumers who pay their loans on time or early each month.  This middle school or high school lesson financial literacy lesson comes with a detailed Powerpoint (or Google Slides) that will explain calculating simple interest with specific examples.  Students can view a video on how to calculate simple interest rates and complete a worksheet demonstrating their knowledge. For their assessment, an EdPuzzle link is provided on calculating simple interest.

This lesson is for Math, Finance, Business, Life Skills, or FCS classes at the middle school or high school level.
