Description

This concise, to the point and no-prep simple interest lesson is a great way to teach and introduce how to find and calculate simple interest with the formula I=Prt. This lesson goes over the different parameters of the formula, how to find interest and total value, and includes an additional two problems where students work backwards to find a missing principal and a missing rate parameter.

These notes get straight to the point of the skill being taught, which I have found is imperative for the attention span of middle schoolers! They are also a great tool for students to refer back to.

I used this in my Resource Consumer Math class. It was great to give the kids guided notes. Having the notes on top of the math practice helped the students to be able to look back while they work. Will use again.
