Calculus Calculator Task Card Matching Activity:

Your AP Calculus students will have 32 task cards containing 16 questions that match in pairs designed to review the four required calculator tasks on the AP Calculus Exam. There is also a set of calculator screenshots for both the TI-Nspire CX-CAS and the TI-84 Plus CE calculator family.

1. Graphing a function within an arbitrary viewing window.

2. Finding the zeros of a function.

3. Finding a numeric derivative.

4. Finding a numeric integral.

Solutions will be found to spell out a fun sentence. Students can record their work on a student handout. There is also a black and white version of all matching expressions if you do not want to copy the large, colorful task cards.

This is a fun approach to review the required calculator skills necessary for success on the AP Exam.

An answer key is provided.

2. A sheet black-line copy of questions for students to cut apart and match.

3. A student recording sheet for supporting work or pasting small strips to match.

3. Answer key and a method to self-check by spelling out a phrase.
