Description
This is an 11-question test on related rates that can also be used as homework or a review.
Included in this file are:
1. The chapter test with complete, detailed, teaching-oriented solutions. A student could use this to self-teach the concepts. My own 4-step procedure for identifying information to solve the problem guides the student through every problem.
2. The test with answers only, no solutions.
3. The blank test with room for students' responses.
4. The blank test condensed onto two pages, with no room for students' responses. This gives you the choice to significantly reduce the number of photocopied pages.
5. The blank test with room for students' responses, made into an Easel Activity.
Questions include: Related rates problems ranging from easy to challenging. In the first two questions, students are asked to show with an equation how two rates are related. The rest are typical related rates problems asking to find the numerical value of a specific rate. Topics include expanding square and cube, circular wave, bug crawling along a graph, leaning ladder, balloon, cylinder, cone.
