Description

Your AP Calculus students will have guided notes, homework, and a content quiz in the Volumes by Shell Method lesson of a five-lesson unit on Applications of Integration that cover the concepts in depth.

Lesson Objective:

Students will find the volume for solids of revolution using the method of cylindrical shells.

College Board® Learning Objectives:

•LO3.4D: Apply definite integrals to problems involving area and volume.

•LO 3.4E: Use the definite integral to solve problems in various contexts.

NOTE: This topic is not a tested item on the AP Calculus Exam but can be used if student knows the method.
