Calendar Math Geometry - March

⭐ UPDATED for the 2025-2026 school year!⭐

Provide your students with spiral review throughout the entire school year and keep early finishers busy with Calendar Math!

The March edition includes geometry standards taught earlier in the year such as properties of quadrilaterals, transformations, relationships within triangles, angles in polygons and right triangle trigonometry along with newly taught geometry standards such as circumference and area of circles, central and inscribed angles of circles and arc measures. Each subsequent month, new geometry concepts are added.

On the calendar, each day is a different problem and each problem's solution is the day of the month. For example, 19 is the solution to the problem March 19th. Students can either show every step to arrive at the solution OR give a detailed mathematical explanation as to why the date is the solution. Since the answers are already known, students must prove, with either their work or explanation, they understand why the date is the solution.

I assign Calendar Math at the beginning of the month and make it due on the last day of the month. I allow students to work in it at home or in class whenever they finish tasks early.

Even though student work and explanations may vary, I have provided a sample answer/explanation for every problem.
