This calming plan is for explicit teaching when one of your students asks multiple times to leave the room in order to access tools. Assuming that there has been extensive teaching around using tools and identifying emotions, there comes a time when it becomes appropriate to lessen the amount of academics that are missed. When that time comes, this visual can come in handy. Every student is different, but this is a visual I created for one of my students. I hope it is helpful to get ideas flowing.
