This project focuses on cancer, a disease that occurs when cells do not function correctly. Many people are affected by cancer; most of you know someone who is suffering or has suffered from cancer. Students should choose a cancer that affects someone they know or intrigues them because it is interesting. The goal is to research the cancer and orally present information and recent research through a Google Slide Presentation. The presentation should include all the points listed on the rubric.
Some information (not all listed below) that students will need to research about is listed below:
- Description of the symptoms
- Possible causes of the cancer
- How the cancer is diagnosed
- How many and what type of people are likely to have the disorder
