Independent math activity perfect for early finishers, seat work, or as an extension activity for gifted learners. Students must complete 20 challenge questions, which range anywhere from traditional word problems to having students solve a code, write in binary, and perform a "math magic trick". Students complete the 20 question game board as fast as they can, working at their own pace over several days (generally one week). As soon as a student correctly finishes his/her challenge board they turn it in to claim one of the privileges listed in the Privilege Choice Board (such as writing a secret message for the class on the chalkboard, eating lunch with the teacher, choosing the learning theme for the day, etc.). The download comes with everything you need for the activity as well as a Microsoft Word version of the Privilege Choice Board if you would like to customize it to what would best motivate your class.

My students went absolutely crazy for this activity. I've never seen them so focused on a classwork task! Things were pin-drop silent during math, allowing me to work with small groups with absolute focus. Teacher heaven! I hope you and your class love it as much as we did!
