Candy Corn Place Value Craft

Sweeten up math learning with our Candy Corn Place Value Craft!

This engaging activity reinforces place value concepts while creating a festive fall decoration as an October math craft!


What's included:

  • Candy corn template with sections for Standard Form, Expanded Form, and Base 10 (can be expanded for larger numbers).
  • Individual pieces to build candy corn craft

How it works:

  1. Students choose a number to represent.
  2. They color and cut out the candy corn sections write the number in standard form, expanded form, and using base-ten blocks.
  3. Students assemble the candy corn and glue it onto a paper.

Differentiation options:

  • Adjust the number of sections on the candy corn template for different grade levels.
  • Provide number cards for students to choose from.
  • Offer additional challenge by including decimals or larger numbers.

Watch your students' place value understanding grow while they enjoy this sweet and engaging craft!
