Description

Use candy to explore and learn about density.

A common confusion is that density and weight go together. Use this lab to cement the idea that weight doesn't equal density.

Students will place different types of candy into a tub or beaker of water and test is they sink or float determining if they are more or less dense than water.

This lab includes: Teacher directions, student task card (directions), and student lab sheets in both full page and ready to cut and paste into a science composition book.

Standard: NGSS MS-PS1-2

Note: This is the same lab activity as my Halloween Candy density lab just without the Halloween theme. If you would like to see that lab you can find it ★HERE★
