In this lesson, students will learn all about car insurance and the different types of car insurance coverages such as comprehensive, collision, bodily injury, personal injury, gap insurance, etc. Students will learn about factors that affect the cost of car insurance, calculate insurance premiums and how much an insurance company pays based on the claim and the deductible. Included in this product is a card sort activity with 12 definitions from the lesson.

This resource is great for a personal finance class or business class. I made this resource for my consumer math class which consists of 11th and 12th grade students. I gave students the card sort after the lesson as an exit ticket, but you may choose to do it before the lesson to assess students prior knowledge.
