Description

Use these worksheets and assessments to teach students about how to pay bills, debt, and other aspects of living in the "real world." These activities work well if students can do research on a computer, but you can also use other resources like newspapers or magazines. These sheets could also be a good conversation between students and their parents.

Kids will work to formulate a monthly budget based on the job they chose. They have to research how much they will pay for all their necessities each month. This part is time consuming, but valuable. They have fun shopping for cars and a place to live that is near their job.

Includes:
-Guidelines for how to make a monthly budget and grading rubric
-A checklist for a presentation poster
-Quiz on employment and spending
-A quiz on spending and renting an apartment
-Another option (modified) to form a monthly budget
-An apartment listings activity (use with computers or newspaper ads)
-Debit and Credit Card Quiz
-Credit Card debt activity
-How to write a check
-Shopping activity (credit cards)
