Description

This set of pattern block mats gives children an easy way to build five cars and six insects with pattern blocks! This is a great independent activity that helps kids see that everything in their world is composed of shapes. When children place the pattern blocks down carefully on the page, they also get practice with fine motor skills as well. These pattern block mats make a wonderful learning center for math time that all children can do by themselves successfully.

Children may also enjoy gluing down the pattern blocks and then decorating the pictures! This was a favorite activity of Heidi's students. Tip: To cut them out, send the paper pattern blocks home with a parent who would like to help at home.

These cars and insects are imaginative to increase the fun!

This is a favorite center for all my students. We discuss the shapes, the colors and then the designs. Thank you for creating a great resource for my students.
