Description
This is a complete resource for teaching the names and functions of cell organelles. It includes a reading passage about each organelle along with illustrated task cards and three different quizzes. It is written on a middle school level but it covers all of the essential information typically taught in secondary level biology classes about the structure and function of cell organelles. This resource is appropriate for grades 7-10 and can be used just as well with grade level readers in the lower grades as with struggling readers in the upper grades.
The reading is divided into short sections, each of which is illustrated in full color. Vocabulary words are introduced alongside a pronunciation guide which is helpful for most studens but especially for ESL students.
Each reading section has one or more accompanying task card questions in multiple choice, true/false, or fill in the blank format.
