This is a straight-forward, single-page student instruction sheet for a first microscope study of plant and animal cells. Students will view their own cheek epithelial cells, as well as living plant (Elodea) cells.
Students make and label sketches to document their observations. Also included is a good lead-in for the study of diffusion and osmosis, by making observations of the effects of salt water solutions on living plant cells.
Includes a set of short answer questions.
