Description

Practice creating and identifying patterns while strengthening fine motor skills with these Chain Link Patterns task cards! Connecting plastic links is a great activity for little learners to do with their fingers! This printable comes with two different sets of pattern cards (28 different patterns in total). One set states the pattern and learners can copy and continue it with the links (a hole can be punched at the end to connect the chain to, if desired). The other set of link cards does not list the pattern, and instead, learners will need to  identify what pattern is being shown. Print the Letter Pattern Cards and cut them out , then use them to match up with the correct pattern link cards. Printable colored links are also included.

The patterns included are AB, ABB, AAB, ABB, ABC, AABC, ABCC, ABBC, AABB.

Perfect for a morning work activity, in math centers, for small groups, independent work or early finishers, and also great for at home or on-the-go!

Preschool and Kindergarten Education Standards:

NY-PK.OA.2 Understand simple patterns
