Description

I was always struggling to set up my classroom library in a user friendly and exciting way to make it fun and encourage reading for my beginning readers. I created these classroom library genre labels for my first grade classroom library and I have done just that!

These labels will help your students identify their favorite books easily and make clean up a breeze! All labels are editable so you can add your favorite book series that may be missing.

I printed the labels on white cardstock and laminated them using 3 mm laminate pouches-- however laminate from school will work as well. I printed each page 2 times to be able to cut out the white border on each label. I then hot glue gunned them onto our book bins that I purchased from reallygoodstuff.com.

A few of my students' favorites are the "Medal Award Winners," my own: "Mrs. Owens' Favorites," and our own classroom made: "Class Books." My classroom labels have many fiction and non-fiction labels to help you create a balanced classroom library.
