This classroom management system allows teachers to keep track of negative behaviors easily, while promoting positive behaviors at the same time. The point system allows student to understand all consequences from the get go. The �Character Card� is used to help the student reflect on their behaviors, while thinking about reasons why they have been behaving that way. It also allows students time to reflect and possibly make goals to correct their behaviors. This great management tool allows the teacher to keep in contact with the parents and have a log of behaviors to be used at conferences or meetings. Students receive points off for behaviors such as being unprepared, disrespectful, dishonest, and poor behaviors when they are not in their homeroom teachers care. If students do not go below a certain point value for the week or for the entire quarter, we unusually have a Character Celebration at the end of every quarter. Students get to choose to go to a movie room, a technology room, a craft room, a game room or study hall if they have received enough points off. This car also includes 20 bathroom or out-of-the-class water fountain drinks, one homework pass, one ticket out of study hall pass and two agenda freebee passes, just in case students forget to write in their agendas or forget to ask their parents to sign their agendas. Everyone in my grade level uses this and the students know that any teacher can ask for their card at any time. All we say is �Character Card Please� and the students bring us their cards to mark. We copy these on cardstock and attach them to their agendas or p[lace them in their home folders or binders.
