Description

In this engaging practice game, students sort example quotes of characterization under the correct headings—direct or indirect. This gets students thinking about how authors build traits in a story and how to identify them. This is a perfect activity for intervention, review, or practice centers!

You can cut the slips and have students match them like a review game or they can cut and glue them in their notebooks to reference later! You could even have them just write the answers that match each box on the paper and turn it in as a formative assessment!
