Description
Working with students on the autism spectrum, social cognitive deficits or emotional behavioral deficits?
Often the staff who serve them need to know if they are ready for their school day. Are they "carrying in" any anger or anxiety from home? Have they eaten? Have they had their medication? Do they have their supplies?
This check in/check out sheet allows staff to check if a student is ready to carry on with their day.
At the end of the day students reflect on their day. Often they discover a day that started with an issue can actually be a successful day. This helps them learn to compartmentalize issues and learn to put them aside so they can learn.
Older and literate students can complete themselves. Staff can interview and complete for younger or iliterate students.

Great resource. I used with our PBIS program. Easy prep and a tangible resource for students.
I found this document helpful for my check-in and check out students
This was very helpful to me as I sought resources to use with my autism students.
