Description
Thank you for purchasing the checkbook register project!
In a practical math unit, students need to be able to complete a checkbook register (or transaction register) to determine how much money they have in their account at the end of 24 days.
Students complete 24 different questions that involve calculating how much their paycheck is after deduction, how much they spend at a variety of stores with coupons and sales tax, and must write checks to pay a variety of bills.
I use this project in class over two days, and am actively involved with checking student's work throughout the period. I offer prizes for students who get the answer correct to the cent.
Enjoy!
