I used this as a test for my Principles of Business class so they could demonstrate that they knew how to write checks, do a deposit slip and recording things in a check register.
My students really liked this activity. I would recommend this to other colleagues.
I used this in my Accounting classroom as a quick activity at the beginning of school. Many of my students have a debit card, but none had ever written a check (most had received a check as a gift or payment for a job). I used it as a "personal" accounting lesson to lead into their accounting curriculum, but I also found that most of my students were really engaged and could relate the content to their daily lives.
My students really enjoyed this resource. They were engaged throughout and I will use it in the future.
Loved the activity of spending and saving, making mistakes while writing checks. Great resource! Thank you!
Easy to use and understand. I added a 'bank statement' so they could reconcile at the end of the activity. Thank you for a great resource.
This resource was great. I used it as an assessment to gage student understanding. Easy to use.
