Description
This interactive notebook is perfect for your students beginning their journey in learning Mandarin Chinese! Through a systematic process, they will be guided to recognize, write and read simplified Chinese characters. Whether your student(s) are taking lessons from an online platform such as Lingobus or a brick-and-mortar classroom, you will find their knowledge of characters increase rapidly using these activities!
This set includes the characters for 父 fù (father)，多 duō (many, much)，少 shǎo ( (little, less, few)，女 nǚ (female)，大 dà (big, large)，and 小 xiǎo (small, little).
For those of you using the Lingobus program, please note: this set corresponds to Level 2: Unit 1 EXCEPT 人 rén (person, people). The character 人 rén is originally introduced in Level 1: Unit 10 and is thus included in my corresponding FREE product Chinese Characters Interactive Notebook, Set 2.
I made this notebook originally for my sons, both of whom have fine motor deficits. With that in mind, I have worked to make these pages simple to cut out, using almost entirely straight cutting lines. If desired, you can cut them out with a paper cutter before your students use them. They would also work well as individual worksheets if a notebook is not your style. Other than an option for a color cover, the entire package is made to be printed in black and white.
Activities Include:
- Character maze. (Recognize) One for each character.
- Put together the character puzzle. (Recognize) One for each character.
- Rainbow write the character. (Recognize/Write) One for each character.
- Tic-tac-toe, with step-by-step stroke guide. (Write) One for every two characters.
- Race to the top. (Write) One for every two characters.
- Dots and boxes. (Write) One for every two characters.
- Match the character to the pinyin word. (Read) Review all characters in this set.
- Flashcards. (Read) Review all characters.
