Choir Class Assignment - Live Performance Review - Choir homework, sub plan
Share

Description

This assignment is perfect for middle school or high school choir students. In this assignment, students are asked to watch a live performance and then complete a written assignment about it.

They are asked to take notes about specific things during the concert and then answer questions relating to the performance (such as "Would you consider the performance to be “good” or “bad?” Why? Include information about the overall experience, including vocal abilities, song selection, general audience experience, etc.")

A rubric is included.

I have used this assignment with grades 7-12 and they loved it. It is such a great way for students to think critically about the performances they are watching.

You could also watch a live concert together as a class and have the students complete the report during class (especially good as a sub plan). Because this is a google doc, you can edit to fit your needs.
