Description
This 34-page Google Slideshow teaches students how to choose Just-Right books. The lesson is taught by Goldilocks--who is a little older and more mature now! But, she still likes things to be "just-right"...most importantly the books she reads.
At the end of the lesson I have included a printable "5-Finger Rule" chart for students.
*Towards the end of the slideshow I have included an mp4 video of the exact lesson. If students press play they will watch and listen to the slideshow...narrated by Goldilocks. I use this for my virtual learners or on days I have a substitute teacher.
*Also at the end of the slideshow I have included 5 slides that could be used as an assignment/assessment for students. They can complete the activity on Google Classroom or the slides could be printed and completed with paper/pencil as well.
Description of the Assignment: On each slide is a page from a book. Students are to read the page and then type the number of words they don't know in the provided text box. Then, they will write in the next provided text box what type of book it was for them: Too Easy, Too Hard, Just Right.
