Description
These six Math Center Activities are filled with high-interest goodies that will keep your kiddos engaged and practicing their skills during the busy and sometimes unpredictable Christmas season!
These festive centers can be used all at once (i.e., students rotate through six consecutive stations in your classroom) or as stand-alone activities incorporated into your existing math centers.
Included are materials for six Christmas centers:
Merry Measurement: Students measure Christmas figures to the nearest half inch, record, and make a line plot using their data. (3.MD.4)
Multiplication Station: Students choose Christmas-themed number cards, then record and solve multiplication equations. (3.OA.7)
Problem Solving Party Time: Students solve problems from 24 colorful, themed task cards. Concepts include basic multiplication and division within 100, 2-step problems, elapsed time, place value, and addition/subtraction with regrouping. (3.OA.7, 3.OA.8, 3.MD.1, 3.NBT.2)
Santa Subtraction: Students choose Christmas-themed number cards, then record and solve subtraction (with and without regrouping) equations. (3.NBT.2)
Merry {Graph} Making: Students use data provided on task cards to create bar graphs.
December Division: Students choose Christmas-themed number cards, then record and solve division equations. (3.OA.7)
