Description

***This is a bundle of both google slides and PDF file of my Christmas Math Performance Task.

Get students excited for Christmas while reviewing math standards that students need to master for third. This Christmas math task has students become Santa's little helper, while helping him prepare for Christmas Eve.

Within this math task students will build upon each problem and use their skills in: addition, subtraction, multiplying, dividing, solving multi-step word problems, tables, and time by creating a schedule for Santa's night.

Although this task uses mostly third grade standards, it also will be useful for fourth and fifth grade students in order to prepare them for the end of the year state wide tests. It may also be used for second grade students as a way to challenge them in a fun and engaging way.

What's Included:

  • 10 questions for students to complete (some questions have two parts)
  • Each slide includes interactive ways to solve the math problems based on the day's strategy:
    • Drawing Equal Groups for Division and Multiplication
    • Skip Counting for Division and Multiplication
    • Place Value Chart to show Subtraction or addition
    • Fill in tables for students to complete a schedule for Santa

  • Some slides include notes on how to use the interactive materials
