Description

A Christmas themed introduction to using tree diagrams to work out total possible combinations.

You will find included:

Three tree diagram activities - Wrapping a Christmas gift

- Building a snowman

- Ordering a hot chocolate and a Christmas cookie.

Each activity has: - an optional ‘cut-out’ sheet so that students can make their own tree diagrams.

- a worksheet with branches provided

- a worksheet with just the first branches provided

- an answer sheet.

There is also an extra optional activity with the second task (Build your own snowman).

Even though it's so easy, I will be using this with my year 8s. Will just get them to add the fraction probability of each event, but a fun activity.
