This Christmas Readers Theater Packet provides fun reading and writing activities which coordinate with a Christmas readers theater script. This holiday script takes students on a worldwide tour of the great variety of celebrations that happen at Christmastime.
This packet also includes 5 script-related activity sheets, each with its own answer key:
* Fill-In the Blanks
* Vocabulary Fun
* Unscramble
* Word Search
* 5-Question Quiz
This packet is designed to build confidence in 2nd and 3rd grade readers through repeated reading and dramatic arts practice. Celebrate Christmas while you teach oral expression, comprehension and characterization. Everybody focuses, everybody participates and everybody learns.
The script provides lines in a variety of lengths, so teachers can give a short line to a very shy student to encourage participation, as well as offer longer parts for more proficient or eager-to-read-aloud readers. There's no better way to engage all students while the teacher assesses reading skills. Everyone reads and no discipline problems go on in the background!
