This project guides students through the engineering design process to design and build a circuit box. This is best done as a culminating activity after students have learned about series and/or parallel circuits. As long as students have the supplies needed, this can be done in class or at home in groups, pairs, or individually.

- Christmas lights cut with ends stripped

My students really enjoyed this project. My students are enjoying working on this project. I thought the steps could be a little more specific but either than that, a fun project for students to learn about series and parallel circuits.
I used this resource in my multi-grade classroom, and the students who weren't using it were asking when it was their turn. Very engaging.
