This package of circuit diagrams is perfect for introducing your students to circuit symbols and building circuits!

Your students will label each diagram and then construct the circuit it represents.

This download includes:

• 14 Circuits of increasing complexity to build
• A sheet of circuit symbols for student reference
• Some series circuits and some parallel circuits
• Circuits using wires, cells, switches, lamps (lights), motors, and resistors

Your students will require:

• Wires
• 2 D-cells (I recommend also using battery holders for this)
• 2 lamps
• 1 electric motor (you could always use a buzzer or lamp instead, but there's less variety that way)
• A resistor like graphite or nichrome wire
• 1 switch

Curriculum Alignment: Alberta Grade 5 Science. Unit A: Electricity and Magnetism and Unit B: Mechanisms Using Electricity.

Will Support: Any students being introduced to circuit diagrams and circuit building.
