Description

Are you teaching the heart and circulatorysystem but having trouble finding kid-friendly and engaging resources? This Circulatory System Nearpod™ is truly no-prep and even NO-TEACH! My video instruction clips are interspersed between FUN Nearpod™ activities to keep your students engaged. Can be used as a substitute lesson plan, as well.   • 4 video clips of me teaching the teaching slides (clips are 6:41 min, 3:29 min, 3:10 min, and 5:10 min in length). You can skip the videos if you prefer to teach the slides yourself.

Grade Level: 5th-10th (depending on level of students and how it is used; for older grades, this may be used as more of a review, to prep students for your more advanced material)

Use argument supported by evidence for how the body is a system of interacting subsystems composed of groups of cells. Emphasis is on the conceptual understanding that cells form tissues and tissues form organs specialized for particular body functions. Examples could include the interaction of subsystems within a system and the normal functioning of those systems. Assessment does not include the mechanism of one body system independent of others. Assessment is limited to the circulatory, excretory, digestive, respiratory, muscular, and nervous systems.
