Description
*Updated 4/21: This circumference lesson consists of a guided notes sheet, a practice sheet, and a learning check. I start these notes after I go over basic vocabulary and parts of a circle (freebie in my store- click here to see). The notes usually take a whole class period, sometimes even 1-1/2 by the time we get our warm ups and review out of the way and depending on pace of the class. The practice can be done with 20-30 minutes of class time but this also depends on student learning and pace. It can also be given for homework. The learning check can be given two ways: you could give it at the end as an exit slip or at the beginning of the following class as a warm up. One last important note is that I work with my students on calculating the radius and diameter after they have been given a circumference so please keep this in mind while purchasing.
EASEL activity included in download.
