Since my Describing Bingo series has been so popular, I decided to create a few more "themed" describing bingos that will fit in well with theme units during therapy. I plan to add a couple more of these themed bingos next week, but for now you will have to settle for the first two: Circus Describing Bingo and Outer Space Describing Bingo. These describing bingo activities are quick and easy activities that are used to work on student's language skills and also listen for conversational carryover for articulation, voice, and fluency. This Outer Space Describing Bingo game can be played two different ways: Bingo or a matching/memory game. Your students can work on learning the different Circusvocabulary (e.g. clown, Big Top/tent, ringmaster, trapeze, etc.). For the Bingo game, have your student select one of the calling cards and describe it to the other students. There are numerous cards that look similar, so the "describer" has to be very specific. Which clown are you describing? There is one in a car, one waving, etc. See if their description has enough information to determine which picture the describer has. As another game, you can print out doubles of the calling cards and play memory, go-fish, etc.
