Objective:

Students will learn a 4 step process to cite evidence that they can use with any text. This lesson will be a foundation for students to build upon throughout the year!

What are Pixanotes®?

Pixanotes® are a blend of the structure of traditional two-column notes and visual/interactive notes. There are 4 versions with different levels of scaffolding but all with the same content so that all students can get what they need.

In this resource you'll receive a full lesson on Google Slides with:

★ Teacher's Guide with directions and links to share on any learning management system such as Google Classroom, Canvas and more!

★ An embedded introduction video

★ An embedded text on which the notes are based.

★ Four versions of Pixanotes® with different levels of scaffolding

Level 1: Fully printed content and pre-printed pictures

Level 2: Fully printed picture flaps and fill in the blanks for students

Level 3: Pre-printed content and picture flaps that need to be positioned by the

student.

Level 4: Fill-in-the-blanks for content and picture flaps that need to be positioned

by the student.

★ Moveable picture flaps for levels 3 and 4

★ Text boxes already placed into the notes

★ Editable directions for the student

★ Pre-placed highlighter text boxes to be used for highlighting already placed into the notes for levels 1 and 3.

★ Second Video of the PowerPoint that matches the notes embedded into the lesson

★ Self-Grading "Quick Check" Activity - could be used as a quiz!
