It covers all the key people and events, including Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Rosa Parks, and Cesar Chavez, so it's great for Black History Month or any time you're teaching American history. It pairs perfectly with any Civil Rights Movement unit!

  • End of your unit: students can use these notes at the end of your unit as a study tool (summarize and reflect)

I've used this resource for a few years and found it helpful. The student guide in the updated version, however, has no notes regarding the Little Rock 9 despite the amount of information in the powerpoint. I will be making a separate sheet for kids to add to their study guide. I believe there were notes on this in the original version and was wondering if this was just an oversight. Still like the resource. Thanks!
