Civil rights research project/informational writing. Students will choose from Martin Luther King Jr, Rosa Parks, Thurgood Marshall, Fred Shuttlesworth, John Lewis, Ralph David Abernathy, The Montgomery Bus Boycott or the Selma to Montgomery March and right an informational article about one of these people or events. This product includes multiple graphic organizers including a timeline, supporting details organizer, a page to cite sources used during the research, and a graphic organizer for organizing factual information. Pages for writing a rough draft and final draft are included as well. This project aligns with fourth grade Alabama History standards.
