Apple Reading Incentive Program
Students fill out an apple for every book that they read and tape them to a tree. When the tree is full of apples they get to have an apple party!
Packet includes 2 signs explaining the apple tree decor for guests that are interested (you will need to make your own tree. I usually cut a large sheet of brown paper into the shape of a tree and tape it to the wall in the hallway.)
Packet includes 1 apple party sign up sheet to print and post
Packet includes 2 page letter explaining apple tree reading incentive program to families
Packet includes 2 types of book reports (fiction and non-fiction)
*The packet does not include the apples to send home. You will need to draw or print your own. The front of the apple should leave space for the children to write the title and author of the book they have read.
Every time a student reads a book at home they can fill out an apple that you make. They should color it according to the code. There are optional book reports to complete at home as well.
Once you decide the classroom apple tree that you make is "full" of apples you can plan a class apple party to celebrate all the reading your class is doing at home
